Daily look at Tim Tebow in Jets training camp - Albany Times Union

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) â€" A look at Tim Tebow's day at New York Jets training camp:

___

TEBOW TIME: The Jets held their annual Family Night practice Tuesday, this time at MetLife Stadium instead of their former home at Hofstra University. Tebow worked with the second-team offense during team drills.

HOW'D HE DO: Tebow was 5 of 9 passing with three "sacks" but had a couple of pretty throws, including a 50-yard sideline pass that Eron Riley had but dropped as he fell to the turf. He also had a terrific 45-yard toss to rookie Stephen Hill that got the fans fired up.

TEBOWMANIA: Perhaps the biggest cheers of the night from a crowd of 2,500 came when Tebow tossed a football into a trash can in the back of the end zone â€" after he, Mark Sanchez, Greg McElroy and Matt Simms spent about 10 minutes trying to be the first to do it.

TALKING TEBOW: "I thought it was a good trade, and I feel even better about it now. When you can add a guy with his competitiveness and success and work ethic and energy, from a GM's perspective, that's a dream type of person you want to add to your locker room." â€" Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum on acquiring Tebow, in a recent interview with The Associated Press.
