Aaron Sorkin is coming back to TV.The “West Wing” creator is taking on cable news with “The Newsroom,” a behind-the-scenes look at the workings of a 24-hour news channel. The hour-long drama will run on HBO.Jeff Daniels will play an unhinged, Keith Olbermann-type anchor â€" Olbermann before he lost his most recent job, we presume â€" doing whatever he can to hold on to his audience.The rest of the cast includes Emily Mortimer, Alison Pill, Olivia Munn, Dev Patel and Sam Waterston, with Jane Fonda (playing ex-hubby Ted Turner?) in a recurring role as the CEO of the network’s parent company.Aaron, who will exec-produce and write the show, is hanging out with the real-life Olbermann and Chris Matthews for his research.Little monsters bannedTough break for all of Lady Gaga’s middle-school fans in South Korea.
