GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) - Celebration Church is ready to welcome thousands of new visitors on Sunday morning who may want to share Easter morning with the church in an effort to see quarterback Tim Tebow.

Tebow, the 2009 Heisman Trophy winner, is known as much for his Christian faith as his athletic prowess. Tebow is known to write John 3:16 on his face -- one of the key verses of the Easter message -- and his acknowledgement of God after touchdowns is now known as "Tebowing."

Everyone is welcome at Easter on the Hill on Easter morning, church spokeswoman Tara Wall said. Those who come, though, should bring lawn chairs, blankets and light snacks. Visitors also are expected to park at one of the nine satellite parking locations and take a shuttle bus to the 110-acre church site.

Celebration has provided a list of dos and don'ts for the event. Six sites in Round Rock and Georgetown will provide free shuttle service to the church, which will open its gates at 8 a.m. for the 10 a.m. service. The service is expected to conclude by noon.

Those who want real-time updates on the service can text "easteronthehill" to 70000.

This is not the first time Tebow, a quarterback known for his devotion to his faith on and off the field, has spoken at a local church. Back in March, Tebow spoke at four services of a Las Vegas church, where he took questions from the audience and downplayed his celebrity status. Tebow's appearance in Georgetown is consistent with most of his appearances, where he consistently declines to meet fans or sign autographs.

Sunday morning's event, which could draw between 20,000 and 30,000, is one of Tebow's first appearances since he was traded from the Denver Broncos to the New York Jets this spring. Tebow is expected to be back up quarterback Mark Sanchez, who was give a $40 million contract extension two weeks before the trade.
