Jets' Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow both struggle vs. Giants - USA TODAY (blog)

Mark Sanchez had little to work with on Saturday night, and produced even less.

Taking all of the offensive snaps for the New York Jets against the Giants in the first half, Sanchez failed to lead a scoring drive in six chances and threw a pick-six to rookie Jayron Hosley in the second quarter.

Sanchez was without several key pieces in the receiving corps. More importantly, right tackle Wayne Hunter's struggles were highlighted by the Giants' high-powered defensive line, which sacked Sanchez three times and pressured him consistently.

Three times in the second quarter the Jets started drives at midfield and each time failed to score. Sanchez's interception came after a blocked punt gave the Jets the ball at their own 46.

Sanchez finished the half 9 for 11 for 59 yards as the team failed to convert a third or fourth down in seven tries and trailed 13-0, making way for Tim Tebow's run against the Giants second teamers.

Sanchez has had little success in two preseason games. He completed four passes for 21 yards in two drives in Week 1.

-- Will update with Tebow's performance. --
