Manning's mile high move changes Denver's fantasy outlook - Examiner.com

In 2011, Tim Tebow was dropping down on one knee and Denver receivers were dropping passes.

Signing a four time NFL MVP should fix that problem in 2012.

In Peyton Manning’s last full regular season in 2010 he passed for 4,700 yards and 33 touchdowns. This came out to a total of 279 fantasy points in ESPN standard leagues.

Any time you have a quarterback score over 200 points in a season you know you have a solid starter. The beautiful thing about having a quarterback that completes more than 50 percent of his passes is everyone else is going to get better too.

A good example is Demaryius Thomas, who is a big receiver and should become a big time target for Manning in 2012.

Thomas had 32 receptions for 551 yards and four touchdowns with Tim Tebow as his quarterback in 2011. This came out to a total of 74 fantasy points in ESPN standard leagues.

Expect those numbers to double with Manning throwing him the ball.

Manning’s importance can be measured by looking at his last number one receiver, Reggie Wayne. Wayne had 111 receptions for 1,355 yards in Peyton’s final full season with the Colts.

In Manning’s lost season Wayne only recorded 75 receptions for 960 yards.

Also don’t forget about Eric Decker, who has been working with Manning the entire off-season.

Decker looked like he was headed for a break out year early last season before Tim Tebow took over the offense. He could easily become a Pierre Garcon type player in the Broncos new system.

While the passing game will change the most for the Broncos it won’t be the only position that looks different.

The Broncos had the top running attack in the league last year but don’t expect them to repeat the same success this season. Denver’s running numbers were inflated due to Tim Tebow’s short-comings.

Willis Mcgahee and rookie Ronnie Hillman will still get touches, but the ball is going to be spread around in more places this year.

The Tight End position was almost non-existent for the Broncos last year, but with the addition of former Colt Jacob Tamme and Joel Dreessen that should change.

The bottom line is if Manning stays healthy then drafting a Broncos player for your fantasy team is a solid choice.
