Former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway and former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow will never face off for a position on the football field. History took care of that. (Lucky for Tebow, no?)
But the two players are going mug-to-mug in the highly competitive world of charity auctions.
Both have entries in this yearâs Mask Project fundraiser. The project, which raises a kazillion well-deserved dollars for The Denver Hospice, asks celebs, sports stars, politicians and artists to design masks. They go on exhibit at Cherry Creek Shopping Center and fans bid to take them home.
The Tebow and Elway masks will no doubt get high bids by the end of the run on May 13. But out of the gate, Elway is zooming ahead. The score:
Elway: $650
Tebow: $400
Expect those numbers to multiply significantly as Denver has its say.
Anyone can bid at themaskproject.org. Click through to see Tebowâs mask.
